Recital - Hendrickje Van Kerckhov, soprano & Inge Spinette, piano "It gives me great pleasure to present RECITAL, the long-awaited second album by Hendrickje Van Kerckhove. The recording was done live at the Handelsbeurs Concertzaal in Ghent - Belgium on the 18th & 19th May 2010. She was accompanied on piano by Inge Spinette who is the perfect partner for her in this music. Hendrickje has an exceptional voice and is one of Belgium's greatest singers and I hope in the years to come that we can record many more musical gems together. I'm sure that the music will linger on well after the final track has played. Enjoy"

Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, Requiem
An absolute masterpiece in the history of music, intrinsically linked to the Mozart myth, Mozart’s Requiem is revisited under the energetic baton of director Teodor Currentzis with the excellent Siberian choir and orchestra MusicAeterna. A fascinating, striking interpretation, reinforced by a remarkable distribution of soloists: Simone Kermes, Stéphanie Houtzeel, Markus Brutscher and Arnaud Richard.
Thanks to optimal recording conditions (7 days of studio recording) led by Hugues Deschaux (responsible for recording Le Poème Harmonique, Café Zimmermann…), the interpretation is enriched by the particular care with which the sound was recorded.

CHOPIN, F.: Songs (Olga and Natalya Pasichnyk)
Fryderyk Chopin’s name is synonymous with the piano. It is perhaps for this reason that his songs have been so often overlooked. In them the piano shares the spotlight with the singer, yet they possess the same combination of delicacy, power and beauty as his greatest works. This disc brings together Chopin’s complete songs, as well as transcriptions of four of his mazurkas by the French singer Pauline Viardot. Graduates of the Chopin Academy of Music and prize-winners at several competitions, sisters Olga and Natalya Pasichnyk make their Naxos début with these charming rarities.
