NATALYA PASICHNYK is one of the most unusual pianists time. At a time when shallow effects, virtuosity and sparing no effort to surpirse and please the audience is increasingly dominant in all spheres of culture, she goes her own non-commercial-way – deep immersion in music with highly intellectual, sometimes spiritual interpretations. That’s why her music put high demands on the listener and never leaves him indifferent. Natalya understood her vocation at an early stage and her lIfe has always been filled with music. Therefor it was very natural for her to go to study at a boardingschool for musically gifted children in her native city of Lviv, Ukraine. During her studies at the Lviv conservatory, the Chopin Academy of Music inWarsaw and the Royal Music Academy in Stockholm, she won prizes in several international piano competitions (the Nordic Piano Competition in Denmark, the World Piano Competition in Cincinnati and the International Piano Competition Umberto Micheli, Italy).

At present Natalya travels extensively, performing concerts as a solisit in the USA and throughout Europe. She made several recordings for the Swedish Radio P2, the Polish Radio, BBC Radio 3, Pro Musica and others. She has collaborated with many conductors and one of them, Yevgeny Svetlanov, wrote about her that she “masters the instument in an extraodrdinary way. It is as if such elements as technique, sound palette and interpretation do not exist for her. All of it sounds very convincing”. With her sister Olga PASICHNYK, the famous soprano, she has since several years been touring with different recital programms. The duo has performed in Europe’s most prestigious halls and was invited by several orchestras to perform together Mozart programms. Besides her activities as a solo pianist, Natalya is frequently playing chamber music with various partners. Future projects include concerts with “Klasissche Philharmonie Bonn”, the “Brandenburg State Orchestra” and “l’Orchestre d’Auvergne”.

Recordings with Natalya Pasichnyk are available on the labels OPUS 111, PRO MUSICA CAMERATA and MUSICON. For her interpretation of Bach and Messiaen, recorded and released by MUSICON, she got internationally lavish praise.
