![]() Lore Binon obtained her Master’s degree in violin at the Royal Conservatoire of Brussels (RCB) with Yuzuko Horigome (2008). Along the way she discovers her vocal skills and pursues her musical education by earning a Bachelor’s degree in vocal performance at RCB with Beatrijs De Vos and a Master’s degree (magna cum laude) at the Escola Superior de Musica de Catalunya in Barcelona and the Conservatoire of Amsterdam with Valérie Guillorit. While still in school, she’s awarded with the “Cardon Prize for Exceptional Excellency”. The artist is currently coached by Margreet Honig.NEWS & RECENT ENGAGEMENTS Lore Binon made her house debut at Grand Théâtre de Genève and the Royal Opera House at Versailles Palace, in the baroque opera Atys directed by Angelin Preljocaj and in both houses under the baton of Leonardo Garcia Alarcon. Subesequently the artist appeared in two productions at the Flanders Opera & Ballet Antwerpen . First to create under the baton of Koen Kessels, the title-role Vigdis in the world premiere of “The Convert” by the Belgian composer Wim Henderickx °1962. An opera after writer Stefan Hertmans’ bestseller "De bekeerlinge". Libretto, by Krystian Lada. Secondly, she participated under the baton of Philippe Herreweghe in a full staged production of Robert Schumann's Szenen aus Goethes Faust in the roles of Sorge and Magnapeccatrix.The latter production will be revived this Autumn (2022) at the Opera house of Ghent. Another revival Lore Binon will participate in, is The Convert, when this recent opera will be premiered later on this season, at the Opera House of Rouen Normandie.Another noteworthy semi-staged production in which the artist will appear is "Child of light". A title inspired by composer Claude Vivier's work "Lonely child", in which Lore Binon will be accompanied by Brussels Philharmonic and Ictus.ALL-ROUND Lore Binon, has made herself a name as a versatile singer and refined interpreter. Being adept in various periods and styles, she’s held in high regard both by the leading figures in early music and historically informed trends, as by the followers of modern practice.Equally at home in various repertoires, she appeared as Barbarina in Nozze di Figaro, alongside the Freiburg Baroque Orchestra under René Jacobs baton and Pamina (The Magic flute) at the Flanders opera. But also Mélisande (Pelléas et Mélisande) belongs undeniably to her “Fetish-roles”.Lore Binon has taken part in successful music theatre productions, such as Children of Nowhere (LOD-muziektheater), Revelations & The Valley (Muziektheater Transparant), the by YAMaward granted Berberio (Zonzo compagnie), In my end is my beginning (Imago Mundi) and Loopstation (Ontroerend Goed). Noteworthy too, her debut at Staatsoper Unter den Linden Berlin in “Love, you son of a bitch”.As a result of her truly interest in contemporary music, Lore Binon has repeatedlybeen invited to interpret Arnold Schönberg’s Pierrot Lunaire, next to Steve Reich’s Drumming (on an extensive tour with Rosas Dance Company) and Luca Francesconi’s Sirènes, the latter at the renowned Musica-Festival, in Strasbourg. The artists also works on a regular base with Ictus and the Spectra ensemble.Appearances with orchestra include invitations by Belgian national Orchestra, Brussels Philharmonic, Freiburger Barockorchester, Antwerp Symphony Orchestra, Orchestre Symphonique de Mulhouse, Royal Philharmonic of Liège, Nederlandse Bachvereniging, B’rock and Anima Eterna in works by Bach, Haendel, Mozart, Haydn, Mendelssohn, Brahms and Mahler. This, under the baton of conductors such as Lothar Koenigs, Michel Tabachnik, Richard Egarr, Hugh Wolff … in main European concert halls, as Salle Pleyel, Palau de la musica, Tchaikovsky-Hall-Moskou, De Doelen, Bozar, deSingel…Lore Binon has a genuine affinity for chamber music and was acclaimed at Schiermonnikoog, Yaroslav (RUS), Operadagen Rotterdam, Valletta Baroque Festival (Malta), MA-Festival-Bruges and the Flanders Festival Mechelen at the side of Oxalys, Zefiro Torna, Il Gardellino and A Nocte Temporis. She’s co-founder of Revue blanche. A vocal-instrumental ensemble having in no time notched up a great track record and greatly fulfilled the KLARA-AWARD-2013 for Most promising Ensemble.Lore Binon sets herself up as an enthousiastic defender of the delicate and intimate Lied-repertoire. She has given recitals throughout Belgium and at Muziekgebouw aan het Ij (Amsterdam) and the prestigious Oxford Lied festival. Soon she will give recitals at deSingel and the MAfestival-Bruges.
