With lavish praise Anna RADZIEJEWSKA made her debut at the Paris Opera in the main female role in “Da gelo a gelo” by Salvatore Sciarrino (2006/2007). An opera she sang the world première of at the Schwetzingen Festival in 2006 and revived at "Grand Théâtre" in Geneva. One year later, she made her debut at Grand Théâtre de Provence (Aix-en-Provence) and reappeared at Paris Opera with Ruggiero (Alcina/Haendel) in Robert Carsen’s production. More recently she was invited by the Salzburg Festival to take part in "Luci mie traditrici" by Salvatore Sciarrino (staged direction Rebecca Horn). This production was al well revived in Madrid, the "Theater an der Wien" and in Berlin.
Her opera and concert repertoire includes important works from the early baroque as well as a wide range of significant 20th century and contemporary music. She’s equally at home in several styles and practices. She appeared at the Amsterdam Concertgebouw (Bach, Matthew Passion) and at festivals such as “Ludwigsburger-Festspiele”, “Al Bustan-Festival” (Beyrouth), “Wiener Festwochen”, “Theaterformen-Braunschweig”, “Schwetzingen”, Bratislava ... More recently she sang the Altenberg Lieder by Alban Berg at "Cité de la Musique" (Paris) with Brussels Philharmonic led by Michel Tabachnik and toured in Spain with Schubert’s c minor Mass.
May 2011 she sang with lavish praise the main female part "La Donna" in the world première of Salvatore Sciarrino’s opera “Superflumina” at the Opera House of Mannheim. Last Summer she returned to the Salzburg Festival for concertant performances or “Macbeth” by Salvatore Sciarrino. She also appeared in the staged production of “Herzlan” by Sarah Nemtzov (a co-production with the Bvarian Opera Munich (February 2011) and at the Schwetzingen Baroque-Festival she took part in “Engel der Verzweiflung” (January 2011).
During the season Anna RADZIEJEWSKA will amongst others sing “Varvara” (in the famous Kat’a Kabanova production, stage directed by Robert Carsen) at Opéra national du Rhin, Strasbourg.
Born in Warsaw in 1971 Anna Radziejewska studied in her home town, at Fr. Chopin Music Academy with Hanna Rejmer and Conservatory with Jerzy Artysz. She graduated 1998 with the Superior Diploma, alse named the “Warsaw President Diploma”.
Between 1996 and 2002 Anna Radziejewska was awarded with several international Prizes . In Poland (Duszniki, 1st Oratorio-Prize), Italy (Marsala, Maria del Monaco, competition, 3rd Prize), Greece (Athens, Maria Callas Competition, 2nd Prize), Czech Republic (Karlovy Vary, Dvorak-Competition, “Special Prize”), Norway (Oslo, Queen Sonja, Competition semi finalist), Belgium (Verviers, 4th Prize and et Special “Opera”) and eventually Spain (Bilbao, Finalist).
In 1995 her professional took off with “Bona” in “L’Arrache coeur” by ’E. Sikora at the National Opera House of Warsaw. A House that together with the Chamber Opera of Warsaw has always been very important in the further developping of her career and where she made her debut in several important title roles, as recently Tancredi and Giulio Cesare (also available on CD).
Her opera repertoire includes furthermore parts such as “Dido” (Dido & AEneas), “Ericlea” (Ulysse), “Messagera” (Orfeo), “Ottavia” & “Arnalta” (L’Incoronazione di Poppea), “Rinaldo” (Rinaldo), “Dorabella” (Cosi fan tutte),“Annio” (la Clemenza di Tito), “Cecilio” (Lucio Silla), “Pippo” (La gaza ladra), “Isabella” (L’Italiana in Algeri), “Arsace” (Semiramide), “Kate” (Madame Butterfly), “Jocasta” (Oedipus Rex), “Olga” (Eugène Onegin).With Rinaldo she appeared in Opera Houses such as Munich, Lucerne, Antwerp (Flanders Opera), Berlin (Hebbeltheater).
In recital she frequently sings “Lieder” by Mahler, Brahms, Britten and Szymanovski (which she also recorded).
