The italo-spanish bariton is graduated with the highly regarded in Barcelona and the Staatsliche Musikhochschule Heidelberg-Mannheim, Germany. Amongst his tutors he had Gerard Souzay, Carlos Chausson, Dalton Baldwin, Paul Schilhawsky, Gerd Turk, Ulrich Eisenlohr and Wolfram Rieger. He is also a talented choir and orchestral conductor.

In 1992 made his opera debut as Ottone in “L’incoronazzione di Poppea”. After that singing career began with several roles Schaunard (“La Boheme”), Dandini/Don Magnifico (“La Cenerentola”),  Il Barone di Trombock (“Viaggio a Reims”), Martino (“L’occasione fa il ladro”), Malatesta (“Don Pasquale”), Enrico (“Il Campanello”), Bartolo (“Il Barbiere di Siviglia”), Taddeo (“L’Italiana in Algeri”), Raimbaud (“Le Comte Ory”), Dulcamara (“Elisir d’Amore), Figaro (“Le Nozze di Figaro”), Papageno (“Die Zauberflöte”), Scharpless (“Madame Butterfly) and Zurga (“Le Pechêurs de Perles”), among others. He has been performing for years Teatro Real de Madrid, Gran Teatre del Liceu, Ópera de Oviedo, Teatro Villamarta, Real Ópera de Budapest, Karlsruhe’s Badisches Stattstheater,  Auditorio de Galicia, Orquesta Ciutat de Barcelona, Orquesta de la Comunidad de Madrid, Orquesta Sinfónica de Tenerife, Orquesta de la RTVE, Festival Internacional de Perelada and Festival Internacional de Granada, conducted among others by Alberto Zedda, Sebastian Weigle, George Pehlivanian, Josep Pons, Josep Ramón Encinar, Friedemann Layer and Álvaro Albiach.

Currently he takes part in the Janacek cycle at Opéra du Rhin, Strasbourg, that is stage directed by Robert CARSEN. After his huge success in the part of Dr Kolenaty in “The Makropoulos Affair”,  he will appear in the future in “The Cunning little vixen and “From the House of the Dead”.

In addition to his opera commitments, has an equally distinguished career on the concert arena singing “Matthäus Passion”, “Johannes Passion”, WeinachtsOratorium (J.S.Bach), “Deutsches Requiem” (J. Brahms), “Mozarts-Requiem” und “Nelson Messe” (F. J. Haydn). He has given recitals in Tokyo’s Suntory Hall and Ohji Hall in Japan, Barcelona’s Palau de la Musica Catalana, Barcelona’s Auditori, Brussel’s Instituto Cervantes, performing with the worldwide known pianist Dalton Baldwin.  Amongst the many pieces he enjoys performing are Winterreise Op. 89, Schwanengesang D. 957, Die Schöne Müllerin Op. 25 by Schubert and Dichterliebe Op. 48 by Schumman.

He has been recently nominated for a Grammy Awards for the recording. He has also been involved in several CD recordings for Columna Musica, Harmoni Mundi Iberica as well as Deustche Grammophon.
