Tobias Koch is generally considered as one of the most versatile and distinguished keyboard players of this generation: soloist, chamber music partner, accompanist – mastery of harpsichord, clavichord, pianoforte, organ, modern concert grand piano – received master classes at the music colleges of Düsseldorf, Vienna, Graz with prominent teachers such as David Levine, Roberto Szidon and Jos van Immersee.
Förderpreis Musik der Landeshauptstadt Düsseldorf 1998, Schmolz- und –Bickenbach-Preis, Klusen-Kulturpreis Niederrhein, scholarship of the DAAD and the Konrad Adenauer Foundation – 1995-1999 lecturer at the Johannes-Gutenberg-University Mainz.
