Sandrine Cantoreggi has performed as a sololist with orchestras, as well as in recitals and in chamber music groups. Sandrine has played in a number of concert halls, among others, at : the “Grosse Musikhalle” in Hamburg, the “Gewandhaus” in Leipzig, the “Rudolfinum” in Prague, “La Monnaie” in Brussels, the “Single” in Antwerp, the “Concertgebouw” in Bruges, the “Salle Gaveau” and the “Musée d’Orsay” in ParisThe brilliance and warmth of her sound reflect the diversity of her training in the Belgian-French and Russian schools of violin.
Regularly invited to music festivals, the depth of Sandrine’s personality as well as her energetic and passionate playing attract the public and beguile the critics. She enjoys the exchange between various art forms and the marriage of different musical traditions. Her repertory extends from the Baroque to the contemporary. Sandrine has participated in the creation of musical and multidisciplinary works of composers such as Christophe Looten, Peter Swinnen, Camille Kerger and others. She is particularly interested in works by women composers which she has discovered thanks to the Cid-Femmes library in Luxembourg.
Well known conductors and talented musicians have shared in Sandrine’s progress. She has played under the direction of conductors such as Yuri Bashmet and the Moscow Soloists, Yehudi Menuhin, J.M. Haendler and the European Soloists’ Orchestra of Luxembourg, Vladimir Spirakov and the Moscow Virtuosi, Georges Octors and the Wallonie Chamber Orchestra, Jan Stulen and the Philharmonic Orchestra of Transylvania, as well as The Sinfonie Orkest van Vlaanderen, Gregorz Nowak and the Sinfonia Helvetica, Shao-Chia LU, Mark Stringer, Istvan Denes and the Luxembourg Philharmonic Orchestra, Jean-Pierre Faber, Pierre Cao and the Luxembourg Chamber Orchestra “Les Musiciens”…

Eugene Ysaye’s compositions for violin and piano, with the pianist Bruno Canino (Turtle 2002); 3 Concertos and 6 Capriccios from the Arte del Violino by Pietro Antonio Locatelli with the Latvian Chamber Orchestra, conducted by Carlo Jans (Turtle 2003); The 3 complete Sonatas for violin and piano by Joseph-Guy Ropartz with the pianist Beatrice Rauchs (Pavane 2005).
Sandrine teaches the violin at the Conservatoire de la Ville de Luxembourg, and the Conservatoire Royal de Bruxelles.
In recognition of her talent, DEXIA- Bil has awarded her the use of a violin manufactured by Giovanni Baptista Guadagnini.
